Harry McAlpine on Art Collector’s 100th edition
Harry McAlpine’s work, Never imagined the void would emit so much light (2021) was the cover of Art Collector’s 100th edition. As part of nine meticulously rendered charcoal drawings on paper, his new series presents thespian figures in oddly humorous yet compromising positions, balancing a fine line between comedy and earnestness.
McAlpine will present a debut exhibition at Chalk Horse in September 2022.
